322: The Seventh One

vasterror

Hey it’s me austinado, hi there, nice to see ya.

It’s almost 322, a big day for the comic, a big day for the cast of VE and a big day for me (it being my personal birthday) and Heather as well. This year we will be celebrating Vast Error’s seven year anniversary from the conception of its beta on the old MSPA Forums of yesteryear to the comic you see before you today, and will continue to see until whenever it’s done. And you better fucking believe we have some plans to go in accordance with the occasion.

Thursday, March 22nd 2018 is going to start by having what I like to call a ‘QUINTIZED ALBUMATIC DOUBLE FILM SPREE’ on the VAST ERROR COMMUNITY DISCORD. I will outline the schedule for you now:

-4:30pm CST: We will begin pre-stream, starting with memes and then watching all the released Vast Error material up until our first movie of the night.

-5pm CST: We begin watching ‘MAX KEEBLE’S BIG MOVE’, which I have described to groeuf as being, and I quote: “a fuckin meme ass early 2000s disney film”, Which is basically the truth. But what’s the reason for picking this movie in particular? Massive inside joke film, think of it as more of my personal birthday pick than anything related to VE. It is my day too, after all.

-6:30pm CST: We finish off The Keeble and move on to our second major event of the night, the RELEASE OF A BRAND SPANKING NEW VEMT ALBUM: ‘SPATIAL INTERFERENCE’ BY IAN KRAEMER. You may know Ian for making such songs as ‘Plink’ ‘Renaissance’ and ‘Time’. Well now we have an entire FIFTEEN TRACK ACCOUSTIC VOCAL ALBUM by him, an album which loosely goes into REPITONIAN LORE. Yeah, that’s right; this album is a CANONICAL SIDE STORY to VE. Taking place sweeps before the VE cast’s birth, we follow one of the last remaining sea dwellers WOEMIL WOHWIL, who has a dream to head the FINAL REPITONIAN SPACE MISSION, in order to find a survivable planet to move society on. Woemil being filled with nothing but anger and contempt at the place he is forced to call home. But such a dream is basically labeled as suicide, as all others have failed and wound up just as dead as every planet they find. Because of this, despite Woemil’s dreams and ambition, he ends up ruining not only himself but his relationships with others as well.

We will be RELEASING AND LISTENING THROUGH THE ALBUM ON STREAM, and handing it out to the public as soon as we do that as well for those who can’t make it.

-7:00pm CST: We will be taking an hour long INTERMISSION in order to breathe and get our bearings straight, I will still be around in stream playing videos and music and talking to you guys as we prepare for our second film of the night.

-8:00pm CST: We begin watching ‘SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD’. A film and or series of graphic novels I’m sure you all know well. Scott Pilgrim was an integral piece of the puzzle in helping shape VE as a whole, even without the Homestuck influence I’m not sure if we would be where we are right now without this comic or it’s film. So we are going to honor it on this already honored day.

-10:00pm CST: The stream ends and we finish off the night by releasing a COVER PAGE for VE done by our very own SPARAZE as well as an UPDATE where we finally get some more sweet sweet EYEMAN ACTION.

I’d really like to thank you all in advance for supporting us and supporting VE for however long you’ve been here. Short, long, newcomer, old watcher, plotting to come in from the future, it doesn’t matter. You all are part of what makes this day so special to us, to Arcjec and the rest of the fodder and to this comic as a whole. None of this would be the same without you.

Hope you’re intrigued, hope you’re ready, and hope to see you all at the stream.
